      <p class="para_topic">When you choose <b class="uiTerm">File</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Options</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Save Options</b>, the <b class="uiTerm">Save Options</b> dialog box opens. It allows you to specify preferences for certain default actions you would like to take place when you use the <b class="uiTerm">File</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Save</b> commands. Actions you can specify include saving display files, compressing parts on save, and saving pattern and shaded data.

               <p class="para_td">Compresses the solid data within part files (.prt) as they are saved to disk. Compressed part files may lead to slower save and load times, but the reduced file sizes can yield faster file transfers when moving large, distributed assemblies over a network.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Improves the performance of the first feature edit of the part. The software achieves this ability by saving extra data with each part file when features are replayed and then subsequently saved. When you are ready to archive a part, you can reduce its size by removing this extra data. To do so, clear the <b class="uiTerm">Save data for Fast Rollback and Edit</b> check box and then save the part.

                  <p class="para_note_body">You can receive a <b class="uiTerm">Save Changes Reminder</b> message at specified intervals from 1 &ndash; 120 minutes. The message, which is controlled by a customer default, tells you how much time has passed since you last saved your parts. If you set the default to 0, the message does not appear.
