SpaceBall was formerly a product of Labtec Inc. and SpaceMouse, also known as Magellan, was formerly a product of LogiCad3D.

NX uses the standard 3dconnexion driver for the SpaceBall and SpaceMouse devices. The NX installation does not include this driver. You can download it from the 3Dconnexion web site (http://www.3dconnexion.com).

You can use the 3D Input Device Options dialog to adjust the behavior of a 3D input device attached to the workstation. Settings specified with this dialog are not saved from session to session.

You can also control the devices behavior with a dialog managed by the device driver program. However, settings that you specify using the driver dialog are independent of settings specified using the NX 3D Input Device Options dialog. The system applies the settings of both dialogs. For example, if you disable rotations using the driver dialog and you disable panning and zooming using the NX 3D Input Device Options dialog, the device produces no model motion.
