      <p class="para_topic"> You can choose whether or not to use the mouse/cursor to specify a subset of the Active Range as the source for the updated data. In the normal case, the entire range is used.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> To enable mouse/cursor sensitivity, toggle OFF the Options&rarr;Preferences&rarr;Use Fixed Update Range option.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> To disable mouse/cursor sensitivity, toggle ON the Options&rarr;UG Preferences&rarr;Use Fixed Update Range options.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Using the Cursor and the Active Range</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Ensure that the Active Range is properly defined.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Identify expressions to use by one of the following methods:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"> To update the NX part file with all of the expressions in a column or row contained in the Active Range, place the cell cursor in any cell that contains an expression, or select (highlight) all the expressions in a column or row.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"> Or  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"> To update the NX part file with a subset of the expressions in a column or row, select (highlight) only the expressions you want to use.</p>
               </li>
            </ul>

            <p class="para_item"> Select Tools&rarr;Update NX Part.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division"> For Example:</p>
      <p class="para_division"> In the Sample Expressions figure shown earlier, suppose the current Active Range is A2..B4 and Use Fixed Update Range is OFF:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> If you position the cursor in cell B3, the NX model will be updated with the expressions from B2..B4. You would achieve the same result by highlighting B2..B4.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> If you select B2..B3, only Width and Length will be updated into the NX part.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
