The model file also contains the workbench, which acts as your work space.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">In NX, the files open in your session replace the model file. Each part is stored in its own .prt file, but multiple .prt files can be open at the same time in your session.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Use the <b class="uiTerm">Window</b> menu to list all your open files and select which file is displayed, called the &ldquo;display part.&rdquo;
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">There is also no workbench. To work in a similar way with multiple parts displayed, you could create a dummy temporary assembly named &ldquo;workbench.&rdquo; The section to follow on assemblies shows how to use the <b class="uiTerm">Assembly Navigator</b> to select which part in your assembly you want to be the &ldquo;work part.&rdquo;
