      </table><br><p class="para_topic">The Detailed Filtering dialog (available from the Selection Toolbar  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_detail_filtering.gif" border="0"> ) provides a detailed method for filtering objects and remains active until you close it.  You can pick as many Types as you would like.  Any changes you make to the Detailed Filtering dialog occur immediately and apply just to the operation you are currently in.  When you close the operation, the system resets the dialog.  
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You also can reset the dialog by pressing the Reset button  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_reset_filters.gif" border="0">.   
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The dialog is comprised of the following tabs:</p>

      <p class="para_division">The<b class="uiTerm"> Layers</b> tab allows you to restrict selection to any combination of selectable layers.

                  <p class="para_note">Layers are established as Selectable via the Format -&rarr; Layer Settings dialog.</p>

            <p class="para_item">The Reset button  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_reset_filters.gif" border="0"> re-enables all selectable layers. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The Inherit button  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/inherit.gif" border="0"> allows you to select an object.  The selectable layer on which that object resides is enabled in the layer filter. 
            </p>
         </li>

      <div class="title_division">Display attributes</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Display Attributes</b> tab allows you to restrict a selection to objects that have the indicated display attributes.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The Reset button  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_reset_filters.gif" border="0"> enables all attributes.   
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Types</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Types</b> tab lists all object types currently enabled for a selection.  Types may be enabled in any combination.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The Reset button  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_reset_filters.gif" border="0"> on this page resets this filter to its original state.  Usually this is all of the types, but not necessarily.  It also resets all Detailed Type filtering.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Detailed types</div>
      <p class="para_division">On the <b class="uiTerm">Detailed Types</b> tab, the option menu shows those types that are currently enabled on the Types tab and have detailed types to enable or disable.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The Reset button  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_reset_filters.gif" border="0"> just resets the detailed type filtering for the type currently selected in the option menu.
