      <div class="title_division">Reset to Global</div>
<p class="para_division">'Reset to Global' works differently for views on drawings (including the drawing view itself) than for other views. For detail, see the following sections.</p>
      <div class="title_division">How it Works for Other Views</div>
<p class="para_division">When you select 'Reset to Global' on views other than drawings, it causes the view to lose its individual layer settings. Instead, it uses global layer settings. If you change the global settings, the views also change. If you make changes to other views, the system does not automatically save them with the view.</p>
<p class="para_division">To ensure that a view's layer settings change, before you change the work view or application select View&rarr;Operation&rarr;Save. If you don't, the next time you display the view, the view's layer settings will revert to their original values.</p>
<div class="title_division">How it Works for Views on Drawings</div>
<p class="para_division">For views on drawings, 'Reset to Global' copies the current global layer settings to become the view settings. However, the view retains its own individual layer settings so that later changes to the global layer settings do not affect the views on the drawing. This protects the drawing from unexpected changes in the visiblity of objects on the drawing.</p>
<p class="para_division">To re-synchronize the views on the drawing with the global layer settings, use 'Reset to Global' again. When you change the Visible in View status of a view on a drawing or select 'Reset to Global', the system automatically saves the change with the view so that View&rarr;Operations&rarr;Save (which is not available while a drawing is displayed) is not needed.</p>
