      </table><br><p class="para_topic">After completing the Import options, you are presented with a file selection dialog where you can specify the part file you want to import. This dialog allows you to import NX parts, Solid Edge parts or UDFs. The selected part is then imported into the work part, which is not necessarily the displayed part. See File&rarr;Export to copy drawing data from one part file to another.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Importing Files with Different Units</div>
      <p class="para_division">If the part to be imported has any features, then it must have the same units as the part it is being imported into. It is not possible to import an assembly part with mating conditions. Select the Files of type extension of your imported part file, and all existing files of the same extension are displayed in the directories list box. The part file will automatically be saved with the extension filter displayed in this field.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The extension filters are:</p>
      <p class="para_division">Part Files (*.prt) - NX Part Files. Solid Edge (*.par) - Solid Edge Part Files. Solid Edge (*.psm) - Solid Edge Sheet Metal Part Files.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  If you import a part file that contains a suppressed solid body, select the WCS option for the Destination Coordinate System in the Import Part dialog. Attempting to transform such a part file with the CSYS Menu option (for the Destination Coordinate System) during import may lead to unexpected results.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Importing a Part File with Expressions</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you import a part that contains expressions, the system places a tag at the end of each expression name to identify where the expression comes from and to ensure that no two expressions have the same name.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If there is a unit of measure conflict when importing parts containing expressions, those expressions will not be converted to the new unit of measure system. This also applies to expressions created by NX as parameters on features.</p>
