      <p class="para_topic"> Measures the distance deviation between the two curves (Distance Error) and the angle deviation between their tangents at a series of checkpoints along the curves.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> You must select the two curves and specify the number of check points and tolerances you want for the distance and angle error check.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Deviation checking algorithm creates the specified number of points on the first curve and finds the (minimum) distances to the second curve.  The results will vary depending on which curve is selected first. </p>

      <p class="para_division"> After the checkpoints are determined on the two entities, you have the option of specifying different threshold values for the Distance and Angle Difference, and the numbers of deviations you want to have displayed.</p>

      <p class="para_division"> Report Dialog</p>
      <p class="para_division"> Distance is the distance between the checkpoint on the first entity and the closest point on the second entity. Angle Difference represents the angular deviation between curve tangents and/or face normals at the checkpoints and closest points.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> You can change the Report specification to specify &quot;thresholds&quot; for distance and angle deviation that are larger than those specified in the previous Checkpoints dialog. This allows you to examine only those deviations that are larger than the new thresholds. Also, you can choose to display No Deviations, All Deviations, Maximum Distance, Minimum Distance, Maximum Angle or Minimum Angle.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  If the number of points checked are less than what you asked for, this is an indication that the first curve deviates from the second curve to the extent that all points requested could not be projected onto the second curve, or that they projected off it. This should be taken to mean that the curves do not match within the distance tolerance.</p>
