      <p class="para_topic"> Set the display for more than one view using the Layout options. If you have more than one view set to be displayed any view can be set to display on any specified layer.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Layer Global Settings</div>
      <p class="para_division"> The Layer Settings option is used to set the global layer status. This applies to all views (except drawing views) that do not have an individual layer mask.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Individual View Options</div>
      <p class="para_division"> The Visible in View option controls the display status of layers for a specific view (individual layer mask). The mask for each view may be different, and has priority over the global mask. For example, if a layer is set as the work layer using Layer Settings, but is defined as  <em>invisible</em> in a view (using the Visible in View option), it will remain  <em>invisible</em> in the view until the status of that layer is changed within the view.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division"> Categories</div>
      <p class="para_division"> The Layer Category option provides you the ability to create named groups of layers to simplify changing the visibility and selection status of associated layers.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Layer Status</div>
      <p class="para_division"> The layer functions control the status of layers. Layer status can be set to  <em>selectable, invisible</em>,  <em>visible only, or work. The layer status can be set or changed by layer number, a range of layer numbers, or by category.</em></p>
      <p class="para_division"> The figure below shows a sample part created on four layers. All layers are visible.</p>

      <p class="para_division"> The sample part in the figure above can be used to illustrate the concept of  <em>layer allocation.</em></p>
