      <p class="para_topic">To access the Printer Setup dialog navigate as follows:  Printer Administrator dialog -&rarr;  Printers tab -&rarr; Click Add or Setup.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Enter a name for the printer. You may wish to choose a name that describes the model or location of the printer or options of the system profile for the printer (e.g., landscape, monochrome).</p>

               <p class="para_td">Select the specific model type for your plotter. </p>

            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Choose a setting to identify the destination queue or device for plot files, or to specify how plot files will be processed.</p>

                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Windows/Queue (Windows only): Use this option to specify a printer previously defined with the Windows Add Printer function. Select the printer from the Local option menu. </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">LP/Queue (UNIX only): Use this option to specify a printer queue known to your UNIX operating system. Select the printer from the Local option menu (if active), or enter the queue name in the LP/LPR Queue Name entry field. </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">LPR/Queue: Use this option to specify a printer queue name and LPR command parameters or switches. Enter the name and parameters in the LP/LPR Queue Name entry field. On Windows systems, the queue name must identify the printer in Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) format: \\server_name\share_name.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Device: Use this option to specify a previously configured output device, such as /dev/bpp0 (UNIX) or LPT1 (Windows). Enter the device in the adjacent entry field.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Render File then Execute Program: Use this option to invoke a custom program to process the plot output file instead of dispatching it to a printer. The program might redirect the output file to some directory or database, or it might parse the file for format conversion or validation. Enter the full path of the program plus any command parameters or switches in the entry field labeled &quot;Full Executable Path and Arguments.&quot; The system fully processes the file for printing (e.g. converting it to RTL, HP-GL/2, or PostScript format) before invoking the program. When invoking the program, the system passes the path of the plot output file as the last command parameter.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">Execute Program on Input File: Use this option to invoke a custom program to process the CGM or TIFF input file generated by NX. Enter the full path of the program plus any command parameters or switches in the entry field labeled &quot;Full Executable Path and Arguments&quot;. The system does not process the CGM or TIFF input file for printing before invoking the program. When invoking the program, the system passes the path of the input file as the last command parameter.</p>

               <p class="para_th">Initialization and Reset Files</p>

            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Initialization files can be used with certain printers, such as the HP8500 or Xerox 8830, to activate features, such as tray selection or duplex options. </p>
               <p class="para_td"> <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('shared_func/pr_admor_initial_fil_ov.html');return(false);">Initialization File</a> is the path and filename of a file containing esc sequences and/or device commands that are prefixed to the output file. 
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">Reset File is the path and filename of a file containing esc sequences and/or device commands appended to the output file to reset the printer. </p>

               <p class="para_th">Advanced Options </p>

            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Displays the Advanced Options dialog to let you enter command-line parameters to customize the rendering process that converts a CGM input file to the plot output format (e.g. RTL, HP-GL/2, or PostScript). You can use the dialog to specify pre-processing, rendering, and post-processing options.</p>

               <p class="para_th">Pen Setup</p>

            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Displays the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('shared_func/pa_pen_setup_ov.html');return(false);">Pen Setup dialog</a> so you specify the color and width of each pen of a pen plotter. This option is available only for HPGL pen plotters. Use this option to describe the actual, physical pens installed in the plotter.

                           <p class="para_note_body">You also can save a user or system profile to define a virtual pen mapping that maps the physical pens to pen positions you specify.</p>
