      <p class="para_topic">When you open an assembly part file, NX uses load options to determine how it should find and load any component parts that are referenced by that assembly. NX also uses load options when you import an assembly, substitute a subassembly, or change a <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.popUpPage('assemblies/index.html?goto=assemblies/large_assy_intro.html&vars=-aux,-home','linkInter','menubar=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,toolbar=yes,scrollbars=yes,location=no,directories=no');return(false);">reference set</a> that requires new components to be loaded.

                              <p class="para_warning_body">Search folders and directories should not have periods (&ldquo;.&rdquo;) in their names, such as test.std or test.model, because NX assumes such names belong to files, not directories. Folders and directories should use a dash (&ldquo;-&rdquo;) or underscore (&ldquo;_&rdquo;) instead of a period; for example, test_std and test-model are valid names for folders and directories.</p>

The option is disabled if all parts in the current session come from directories already present in the directory search list.</p>

                  <p class="para_td">Lists the folders that you have currently defined for the search. Higher folders are searched first. Search folders can represent approved parts, work in progress, new designs, and so on.</p>
                  <p class="para_td">You can use the buttons to control the list box's contents:</p>
                  <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/gateway/common/move_down.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Move down</b> &mdash; Moves the selected folders down one place in the list box.

                  </p>
                  <p class="para_td">To search all subdirectories of a specified directory, use the notation ... at the end of the directory path name. Otherwise, NX only searches the specified directory.</p>
                  <p class="para_td">Entries you add to your search directory list are effective only during the current session of NX. To make the new entries permanent, use the <b class="uiTerm">Save as Default</b> option.

This option displays a listing for each directory in the search directories that have parts in them. The report shows, for each part in the directory, whether it conforms to the part file format, and if it does, which part version is the latest (see the <em>Assemblies Help</em>).

                  <p class="para_td">If both <b class="uiTerm">Generate Missing Part Family Members</b> and the <b class="uiTerm">Check for Newer Revisions</b> assembly preference are selected, NX checks for newer versions of the current part family template when it determines that a part family member is missing during the load. If it finds a newer version of the template, the newest version is used to generate the missing members. If the <b class="uiTerm">Generate Missing Part Family Members</b> load option is selected but the assembly preference is not, NX uses the current part family template to generate the missing members.

      <p class="para_topic">If you interrupt the loading, any components that were already loaded remain. To interrupt a load:</p>

            <p class="para_item">(UNIX) Choose &lt;CTRL&gt;&lt;Shift&gt;L during the loading.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Windows) Choose <b class="uiTerm">Stop</b> in the <b class="uiTerm">Work in Progress</b> dialog box during the loading.
            </p>
         </li>
