Reducing Edge Stitching

In some situations face edges may appear broken or dashed. This effect is called edge stitching, because the visible bits of the edge resemble the stitches of a thread sewn into the face. When it occurs, edge stitching is most severe where an edge lies on a portion of a face that is nearly perpendicular to the screen.

Emerging graphics technologies will reduce edge stitching, but in the meantime, you can reduce it somewhat by enabling display of wide lines, or by enabling Line Antialiasing. Both of these display attributes degrade rendering performance, so you should enable them only when edge stitching adversely affects visualization of the part.
