      <p class="para_topic"> To access UGII files and functions from native mode, you do not have to perform a separate log on procedure. However, you do need specific access privileges to perform certain UGII operations. NX uses the UNIX mechanism of groups to control these access privileges.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> Once you log onto your UNIX account, your user name and group membership define which UGII files you can access and functions you can perform. A system administrator defines which users are members of which groups by entering names under the appropriate groups in the UNIX file &quot;/etc/group&quot;.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Setting UGII Manager Privileges</div>
      <p class="para_division"> You can assign manager privileges to specific users during or after you install NX. To assign a user to the UGII_MANAGER group, follow one of the procedures shown below.</p>
      <div class="title_division">UNIX</div>
      <p class="para_division"> To set UGII Manager Privileges in a UNIX environment:</p>
      <p class="para_division"> Login in as root and open an edit session on the /etc/group file. Add the following line:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> UGII_MANAGER:*:200:root,&lt;user1, user2, etc.&gt;</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division"> where 200 is any number that is unique from all the other group numbers in the file. Adding usernames to this line makes those users members of the UGII_MANAGER group. It is advisable to limit this privilege.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Windows</div>
      <p class="para_division"> To add users to UGII_MANAGER group on Windows, perform the following:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> From the Start menu, select Settings&rarr;Control Panel.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Double-click Administrative Tools.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Double-click Computer Management.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Under System Tools, expand the Local Users and Groups item.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click the Groups folder. If the UGII_MANAGER group does not exist, perform the following:  </p>
            <ol type="a" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"> From the Action menu, select New Group... This displays the New Group dialog.</p>
               </li>
            </ol>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> In the Group name field, type UGII_MANAGER.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> In the Description field, type &quot;group to work with fonts and sbf files&quot;.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click Create.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click Close.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click the UGII_MANAGER group and from the Action menu, select Properties.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click Add to add members to the group.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> In the listbox, select an account that you want to be part of this group.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click Add.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click OK. This displays the new member in the group.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Click OK to close the Properties dialog.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division"> If you have modified the account that you are logged in as, such as &quot;administrator&quot;, you must log out and back in.</p>
