      <p class="para_topic">The NX software provides two default unit system files, one English and one metric. You can choose one of these unit systems when you create a new part file. The settings for that unit system are then applied to and stored with the file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Within a scenario part, you can modify the default unit settings as follows:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Unit options in key dialogs - Drop-down selections let you change the unit system dynamically rather than having to manually calculate conversions. For example, if you are creating a load set and want to enter the force in Newtons instead of pound-feet, select Newtons from the unit options and enter a value. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Units Manager - This dialog lets you create new units and unit systems that are saved to the part and become available from all key dialogs. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Units Converter - This dialog is a tool that you can use to calculate unit conversions.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">All unit modifications are stored with the part and are therefore preserved between sessions. In addition, the unit values are automatically converted to the NX standard or metric system when you perform a solve. </p>
