      <p class="para_topic"> You can control the display of the Layers list box on the Layer Settings dialog by selecting one of the following from the option menu:</p>

      <p class="para_topic"> To make the list show all layers, click on All Layers.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> Layers with Objects causes only those layers that contain objects to be displayed in the list box. This potentially provides you with a smaller list to view, but may impact performance for large parts, since it requires a database cycle. When this button is active, layers without objects will occasionally be added to the list when you change a layer setting.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> To make the list show only those layers that are selectable, click on All Selectable Layers.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> After selecting the layers in the list box whose status you want to change, select the desired action button: Selectable, Make Work, Invisible, or Visible Only.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> The initial value of the Layers option menu is specified in the Customer Defaults file. (The initial NX default is Layers with Objects.)</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> On subsequent reentry to the Layer Settings dialog during the current session, the most recent setting is recalled.</p>
