      <p class="para_topic"> When you select the Preselection check box, the system highlights objects that are selectable for the current operation as you move the selection cursor over them. This provides a visual cue of what will be selected when you press MB1. Preselected objects remain highlighted as you move the cursor away from them until a new preselection occurs, or you stop the cursor motion.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> Preselection also applies to highlighting objects you are deselecting. The state of the Preselection setting is stored in the registry.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Delay Slider</div>
      <p class="para_division"> This slider controls how long the system waits before performing preselection once the cursor has come to a halt.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> A value of 0 means no delay, and objects crossed by the cursor are immediately highlighted in the preselection color, regardless of whether the mouse cursor has halted or not. This mode can be useful if the number of objects in the view are few enough that system performance and mouse cursor response times are not slowed during preselection.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> Higher Delay values yield greater periods of wait before preselection starts after the mouse cursor has come to a halt. This setting can be useful if the view has a large number of objects whose preselection could affect system performance and mouse cursor response time.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> Changes you make to this setting are stored in the registry.</p>
