      <p class="para_topic">ugs_router starts, connects to, and sends messages to applications. Note: The ugs_router utility only executes when a product initiates it or when you double-click an NX supported file in Windows Explorer. </p>

[-opts &lt;client-options&gt;]</pre><div class="title_division">Switches</div>
      <p class="para_division">The following table lists the switches and what they do:</p>

               <p class="para_td">Displays a message box containing help information. Ignores all subsequent options terminates the router. Help information is always in English. The router has no support for internationalization.</p>

               <p class="para_td">-cwd &lt;directory&gt; -use_file_dir</p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies which working directory the router should use. -cwd &lt;directory&gt; specifies to use the specified directory. -use_file_dir specifies to infer the directory from each of the filenames. If you're starting a new instance of the destination application and you're specifying a relative pathname, this ensures that the destination application can find the specified files. However, this won't work if connecting to an existing session or if the path is a Windows UNC name. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies which version of the application to start or connect to. If the system finds a running copy of the specified version of the specified application, it sends the message directly to it. Otherwise, the system starts a new instance of the specified version of the application and it sends the message to it once it starts up. For NX and NX Manager, the version syntax is &quot;V&lt;version&gt;.0&quot;. For example: &quot;V18.0&quot;. The version also uses the extended version numbers. For example, NX is &quot;V19.0&quot;; NX2 is &quot;V20.0&quot;, etc.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies whether the system should display a Cancel dialog while waiting for the destination application to respond. The Cancel dialog contains a message and a Cancel button. To specify the message, see the message switch. If you click Cancel, the router aborts immediately. If you don't specify this option and the destination application doesn't respond, the router hangs.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies a display message in the Cancel dialog. If you don't specify a message, the system uses: &quot;Routing to application...&quot;</p>

               <p class="para_td">&lt;bookmark-files&gt; &lt;part-files&gt; &lt;pax-files&gt;</p>

               <p class="para_td">You can specify any number of files and the system sends them to the destination application one at a time. The destination application processes them appropriately. You can send NX any of the following file types. &lt;bookmark-files&gt; - The filename extension is .bkm or .ugmbkm. For bookmarks, it loads the referenced part files. You can send NX Manager .ugmbkm bookmarks and only Teamcenter Engineering knows how to generate these. &lt;part-files&gt; - The filename extension is .prt &lt;pax-files&gt; - The filename extension is .pax .pax are palette files and are only supported on Windows. Using the router, double-clicking on the .pax file adds it to the NX resource bar. </p>

               <p class="para_td">-opts &lt;client-options&gt;</p>

               <p class="para_td">The system considers options that follow the &quot;-opts&quot; keyword as client options and the router does not interpret them. Instead, the system passes them to the destination application as command line options if a new session is started. If an existing session is used, then the system ignores these options, and the end result will not be effective. </p>
