Boundaries have direction and reference points, mainly for use within Manufacturing.

The cursor position during selection determines the boundary direction and reference points for intersections.

A small circle marks the starting point of each boundary. The circle is placed on the end of the first object selected during boundary definition, nearest the selection point. Boundary direction is determined by the position of the selection point in relation to the object control point.

Each boundary member is trimmed and projected onto the boundary plane. A marker is displayed at each boundary segment's midpoint showing the direction of travel. An arrowhead at the midpoint of a boundary segment indicates that the positional relationship to the boundary is ON, while a half arrowhead indicates that the positional relationship to the boundary is TANGENT TO. This concept is used in the Manufacturing application.
