      <p class="para_topic">Unigraphics NX supports three modes for specifying width information.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">EXPORT_WIDTH_MODE  [ ABSOLUTE, SCALED, PENS ]</p>
      <p class="para_topic">This keyword only applies to exporting a CGM, and only when width information (as opposed to color information) is being exported. The default mode is ABSOLUTE.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">ABSOLUTE mode means that line widths are represented in the CGM as &quot;an absolute measure in VDC&quot; (ANSI X3.122 - 1986). This value uses the same representation (integer or real) as all other VDC values. This is the only mode supported by many PC packages. The default Absolute values (in millimeters) associated with each UG width pen are as follows:</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">These can be modified with the EXPORT_ABSOLUTE_WIDTH keyword described below.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">SCALED mode means that line widths are represented in the CGM as &quot;a scaling factor to be applied to the device-dependent nominal line width at metafile interpretation time&quot; (ANSI X3.122 - 1986). This is always a floating point number. The default values are as follows:</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">These can be modified with the EXPORT_SCALED_WIDTH keyword described below.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">PENS mode means that the UG pen numbers themselves are used to represent width values in the CGM. This is how widths were always represented prior to version 14.0. Usage of this method is discouraged, as the ANSI CGM standard does not recognize the concept of &quot;pens&quot; altogether. Continued support for this mode is being provided for the sake of users who may have customized software to handle, and hence expect, UG pen numbers.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">EXPORT_ABSOLUTE_WIDTH [NORMAL,THICK,THIN] value_mm</p>
      <p class="para_topic">This keyword allows you to override the default thicknesses of each UG width pen (as shown above) by specifying an absolute value for each one. The first option specifies the pen: NORMAL (pen #1), THICK (pen #2), or THIN (pen #3). value_mm is the value in millimeters to assign to the pen. These values are only used when the EXPORT_WIDTH_MODE is ABSOLUTE.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">EXPORT_SCALED_WIDTH [NORMAL,THICK,THIN] scale</p>
      <p class="para_topic">This keyword allows you to override the default scale associated with each UG width pen (as shown above). Once again, the pen to be redefined and the new scale value (a floating point number) are specified. These values are used when the EXPORT_WIDTH_MODE is specified as SCALED.</p>
