      <p class="para_topic">These options determine how hidden edges are displayed in the selected view:</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">Hidden edge rendering, particularly Hidden Edges&rarr;Invisible, may not be correct on multiple solid bodies that interfere with one another, or for Assembly part files in views with components that occupy the same physical space. Either unite these bodies into a single body, or separate them so they do not interfere.</p>

      <p class="para_division">This option allows you to specify that all edges in a solid body that are hidden appear as solid lines.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Display All Edges Except Those Hidden By Solid Faces</div>
      <p class="para_division">If you select Invisible, the system produces a grid line display of all existing and subsequently created solid bodies in the selected view, except that it erases portions of geometry and text that appear behind solid bodies.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  The value for the Preferences&rarr;Visualization Preferences&rarr;Line and the Curve Tolerance setting affects the computation of hidden edges in the Hidden Edges&rarr;Invisible display. If an overly large value for the Curve Tolerance was specified, an incorrect hidden edge picture may result. If this happens, try setting a smaller value for the Curve Tolerance. Be aware that reducing the tolerance for some solids may result in significant performance slowdowns.</p>

      <p class="para_division">This options shows all hidden edges in the color gray, with solid font and thin width.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Display Edges Hidden by Solid Faces in A Dashed Font</div>
      <p class="para_division">If you select Dashed as your solid body display type, the system produces a grid line display of all existing and subsequently created solid bodies in the selected view, except that it displays all portions of the geometry and text that appear behind solid bodies as dashed lines.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">  When working in Modeling under certain view conditions, it is possible that hidden dashed lines may appear directly on top of solid visible lines, apparently replacing them. This can occur in views (i.e., TOP) where dashed hidden lines coincide exactly with overlying solid lines, or with other dashed lines. To correct this, rotate the view slightly so that the lines no longer coincide, and perform an Update Display. Enable Preferences&rarr;Visualization Preferences&rarr;Line and, toggle Depth-Sorted Wireframe to avoid this problem.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Hidden Edges Defaults</div>
      <p class="para_division">NX saves the Hidden Edges setting of each view in the part file. When you create a new part, the system initializes the Hidden Edges setting of each new view according to a customer default. </p>
