      <div class="title_division">Assign Name</div>
      <p class="para_division">Assign a name to any object or group and replace an existing name. Only one name can be assigned to an object, but several objects can have identical names. To display the name, use the Names/Borders options under Preferences&rarr;Visualization.</p>

      <p class="para_division">To assign a name attribute:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the objects intended for naming or renaming.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter a new name.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the suffix (optional).</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Valid Characters</div>
      <p class="para_division">Use upper case A - Z, digits 0 - 9, and the following special characters: &quot;.&quot; period, &quot;-&quot; hyphen, &quot;#&quot; pound sign, &quot;/&quot; slash, and &quot;_&quot; underscore. Blank spaces may not be used. The maximum length of names is 30 characters.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Adding a Suffix</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you assign the same name to more than one object, a positive integer numerical suffix can be attached to the name. The value of the suffix is increased by 1, starting with the second selected object, until all objects are named.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Add suffixes in a particular order, it is important to know the sequence in which the objects are to be named, before you begin the selection process. The order in which the suffix is added by the system is arbitrary if the objects are not selected individually, but rather using filters such as Select All in the Class Selection Tool.</p>
      <div class="title_division">No Suffix Added</div>
      <p class="para_division">If a suffix is not needed, then click OK. All selected objects now have identical names.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Delete Name</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option allows you to delete names.</p>
      <ul>

            <p class="para_item">Select the objects intended for name deletion.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Verify Name</div>
      <p class="para_division">Check whether a particular name exists and how many objects have it.</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the name intended for verification.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">The name and the number of occurrences are displayed in the status line, and the objects that have the name become highlighted.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Edit Name Location</div>
      <p class="para_division">Change the location at which an object name is displayed.</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the name or select the object whose name you want to relocate.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the Point Constructor to indicate a new name location.</p>
         </li>
