      <p class="para_topic">Use the Export CGM dialog to:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Export wireframe geometry in CGM format. CGM (Computer Graphics Metafile) is a standard graphics file format that stores vector and raster (bitmap) graphics data.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Transfer wireframe geometry to another application for display or processing. Many common applications, including Microsoft Office applications, can import CGM-format files. In NX, use File -&rarr; Import -&rarr; CGM to import a CGM file.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a CGM for the current display or for each drawing sheet selected in the Export CGM dialog. The system records all geometry in a single picture in the CGM. The exported CGM has binary encoding; neither character nor clear-text encoding is supported. </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">Use the Export CGM dialog to specify: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">CGM source (current display or selected drawing sheets) </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Colors of geometry recorded in the CGM</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Widths of geometry recorded in the CGM </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Size of geometry recorded in the CGM</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Coordinates of geometry recorded in the CGM </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Characteristics of text recorded in the CGM</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">In general, at the start of each NX session, the system initializes CGM export options according to default settings you specify.  You can: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set customer defaults (File -&rarr; Utilities -&rarr; Customer Defaults) to specify the default settings for CGM source, color, and width options. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('shared_func/export_cgm_deflt_fil.html');return(false);">CGM Defaults File</a> (cgmdef.txt) to specify the settings of other options.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
