               <p class="para_td">These controls let you specify how faces and edges are displayed in the model compare view windows after you run the analysis, and in which colors. </p>
               <p class="para_td">Click a comparison button (Identical, Changed or Unique) and then select or clear the check boxes for the faces and edges you want displayed for part 1 and part 2. You can also change the colors for each by clicking the respective color boxes.</p>
               <p class="para_td">After the analysis is presented, you can change the comparison views by changing the faces and edges check boxes.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Lets you specify that all bodies in each part are to be compared. When this option is selected you only have to select a single body in each part (a seed body), and the system will automatically perform the comparison on all bodies.</p>
               <p class="para_td">This option is only valid for related parts. If you use this option with unrelated parts that have multiple bodies, the system will prompt a warning that only the first selected body of each part will be compared.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>

               <p class="para_th">Compare Features and Expressions</p>
            </th>
         </tr>
         <tr>
            <td bgcolor="#F4F4F4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">Lets you compare features and expressions in related parts. This is in addition to the faces and edges comparison. To see the results you must create a report (see Create Report).</p>
               <p class="para_td">Features</p>
               <p class="para_td">Features are classified depending on the comparison of the objects created by them.</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">If two corresponding features have identical related objects, they are classified as &quot;Identical.&quot;</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">If two corresponding features have at least one related object that is changed, they are classified as &quot;Changed.&quot;</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">All non-identical, non-changed features are classified as &quot;Unique.&quot;</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
               <p class="para_td">Suppressed features are not compared. Only objects that exist in the result part are compared.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Expressions</p>
               <p class="para_td">Expressions with the same names are compared.</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">If two expressions of the same name have identical values, they are classified as &quot;Identical.&quot;</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">If two expressions of the same name have different values, they are classified as &quot;Changed.&quot;</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">All non-identical, non-changed expressions are classified as &quot;Unique.&quot;</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
            </td>

               <p class="para_th">Accuracy</p>
            </th>
         </tr>

               <p class="para_td">Lets you specify the level of accuracy of the comparison. You can choose between Default, Fine and Coarse. These settings control the number of sample points considered during the geometric comparison of objects.</p>

               <p class="para_th">Tolerance</p>
            </th>
         </tr>
         <tr>

               <p class="para_td">Lets you specify the level of tolerance for the comparison. By default the value is taken from the modeling distance tolerances of the parts being compared.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>
         <tr>
            <td bgcolor="#F4F4F4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top"><a name="analysis_anl_mdlcompare_dialog_reposition"></a><p class="para_td">Reposition Bodies</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#F4F4F4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/model_compare_repos_ico.gif" border="0">Lets you position the two bodies in the model compare window. Reposition each body relative to the other using the Transform Page dialog from the Reposition Components function (see the <em>Assemblies Help</em>).
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">If you do not reposition the body, the absolute coordinate system is used for the comparison. </p>
               <p class="para_td">You may need to reposition one of the bodies if the absolute coordinate system produces unexpected results for the comparisons. </p>
               <p class="para_td">The repositioning is temporary and exists only for the current model compare operation.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Choosing this option opens the Class Selection dialog, where you can select a body to reposition. After you select the body the Reposition Body dialog displays. This dialog is a subset of the Reposition Components Transform Page dialog from Assemblies, and contains standard methods to let you perform the repositioning. You can use one of these standard methods to reposition the body, or you can just use the cursor to drag the body. (See the Assemblies Online Help for detailed descriptions of the options on the Reposition Components Transform Page.)</p>
               <p class="para_td">Click Ok to complete the repositioning and return to the Model Compare dialog. </p>

               <p class="para_td">The Rules for Model Compare dialog has one rule that defines when two faces are identical. The rule begins with a partial sentence describing its intent, followed by option buttons that let you select the definition for when the rule is true.</p>

               <p class="para_th" align="center">Perform Geometric Comparison</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use this option to perform geometric checking of parts. When selected, this option causes Model Compare to ignore topological differences during the analysis. You could use this option, for example, to run fidelity checks between parts.</p>

For example, when the changed faces on the first body are opaque, then the changed faces on the second body are transparent. Drag the slider to dynamically change the translucency levels.</p>
