      </table><br><p class="para_topic">You can provide any modification that you make to a part that is in collaboration to other participants who have a similar part in collaboration.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Only one conference member may send changes to a part in collaboration at any one time. Refer to  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('ugcollaborate/control_changes.html');return(false);">Controlling Collaboration Changes</a> for a description of how changes are synchronized and coordinated.

               <p class="para_td">The <b class="uiTerm">Expressions</b> option sends all parameter expressions in the work part to all participants that have the part in collaboration. All parameter expressions for the part are sent, not just those that changed.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Part File</b> sends the work part to all conference participants that have the part in collaboration. This is the easiest way to share any arbitrary change made to the part. When making significant updates to a part, this function allows you to complete a set of changes and then share them at once. This is more efficient than trying to coordinate each and every change individually.
               </p>

      </table><br><p class="para_division">The part is sent via an FTP capability built into the conferencing system. Collaborate as a background process controls the FTP activity. You do not have to do anything regarding the FTP process.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When you send a part, a progress meter dialog box <em>Sending Part File...</em> appears for each participant who will receive the part. Only those participants that have the part in collaboration receive the part.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Cancel Transfer</b> will halt the sending of the file. The participants who have not yet received the part will not be updated.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">This file will replace the receiver's in&ndash;memory version of the collaborated part on the fly. Their version of the file on disk is not affected.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Part file exchange is subject to all of the inter&ndash;version part load restrictions that NX imposes. That means that a later version NX of cannot transfer a part to an earlier version, but an earlier version can transfer to a later version. This is the same restriction as for part file open. Other Collaborate functions, such as expressions and markups, do not have this restriction.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Part files compress before transfer over the network, to conserve bandwidth. This technique is fast and will usually reduce the file size to about 1/3 of the disk file size. The compressed file size displays in the progress meter.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The received part replaces your in&ndash;memory version of the part. This could cause the receiver to lose changes made to their local copy of the part. See  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('ugcollaborate/control_changes.html');return(false);">Controlling Collaboration Changes</a> for ways to minimize or prevent this from occurring.
