      <p class="para_topic">You can define six kinds of attribute data types - Integer, Floating Point, Date &amp; Time, Null Value, Variable Length Character and Reference. You can also manipulate attributes by deleting, copying, and listing assigned data types. Every data type, except Null Value, consists of two parts: a title and a value.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Title</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can enter a title not exceeding 50 alphanumeric characters. Blank spaces are allowed. You may not begin a title with the dollar &quot;$&quot; sign.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Value</div>
      <p class="para_division">An attribute value can be one of six  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('managing_a_part/fmt_att_obj_datatypes_r.html');return(false);">data types</a>.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The following options allow you to assign and manipulate user-defined attributes for data types.</p>

               <p class="para_td">If enabled, and the work part is different from the displayed part, the Object Attribute functions Assign, Delete, Copy and List will all apply to objects in the work part. Expressions for Reference Attributes will be taken from the work part. Otherwise, the functions will apply to objects in the displayed part, and expressions will be from the displayed part. The default is that this toggle is disabled, so that objects in the displayed part are selected. You can change the default using UG_objectAttributeSelection.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  Reference attributes were added to V12.0 in the first stage of larger attribute enhancements. As a result, support for Reference Attributes was added to most, but not all, attribute functions in interactive NX and Open C and C++. The functions that may not behave exactly as expected with respect to Reference Attributes are noted as applicable.</p>
