      <p class="para_topic">Every new part includes a pre-defined set of lights for general use. These lights should provide every type of light needed to set up lighting for a view or High Quality Image. Lights are grouped into four sets: </p>

               <p class="para_td">If you prefer performance over visual quality, you can turn on only two of the three default lights. Use the 'Minimum Lights' check box on the General Settings property page on the Visualization Performance Preferences dialog (Preferences&rarr;Visualization Performance). This option sets the part lights to two default scene lights (one ambient light and one distant light).</p>

               <p class="para_td">Every new part includes a default set of lights for basic use, which are turned on when a new view is created. This default set consists of three lights, each with the word &quot;default&quot; in their name.</p>

               <p class="para_td">NX also defines eight system-managed &quot;scene&quot; lights. The system manages the attributes of these lights except for intensity and color. You can use scene lights when you need basic lighting options, but don't need advanced lighting options.</p>
