      </table><br><a name="parallel_projection"></a><p class="para_topic">You can view an NX part through one of two projection modes: <b class="uiTerm">Parallel</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Perspective</b>. You also can use Perspective <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/toolbars/gateway/view/perspective.gif" border="0">on the <b class="uiTerm">View</b> toolbar for the work view.  
      </p><a name="perspective_projection"></a><div class="title_division">Parallel Projection</div>
      <p class="para_division">The NX default is parallel projection. When you view an object in parallel projection, the object is not foreshortened with distance. All parallel lines are shown parallel regardless of their distance from the viewer. </p>

      <div class="title_division">Perspective Projection</div>
      <p class="para_division">With the perspective projection, you can change from the system default Parallel projection to Perspective projection. When you view objects using perspective projection, they appear smaller as they are farther away. All parallel lines have the same vanishing point. For example, if the parallel lines are on the ground (like railroad tracks), the vanishing point (the place where the tracks come together) is on the horizon. </p>

      <p class="para_division">NX saves Perspective settings in the part file, and when a new view is created, Perspective is initialized to OFF. </p>
