      <p class="para_topic"> Scale allows you to change the size of the part being imported. Choose any number greater than zero for the scale. Values between 0 and 1 make the part smaller. All values greater than 1 make the part larger. The new scale remains in effect until changed.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  Parts that are parameterized with expressions cannot be scaled during import. If a scale other than 1.0 is set, the scale will automatically be set to 1.0. This will be reflected in the status line.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> Create Named Group</div>
      <p class="para_division"> Imports a part's objects into the work part as a group. The group created with the objects of the imported part is assigned the original file name (minus the extension) as a group name. Also, the part attributes of the imported part become the object attributes of the group.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Import Views</div>
      <p class="para_division"> Provides control over retrieving user-defined views and view dependencies that are contained in the part being imported. Regardless of how the Import Views toggle is set the following is always true:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Drawings are never imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Symbol Font Entities (for User Defined Symbols) with unique names are always imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Symbol Font Entities with the same name as in the work part are not imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Sketch views are imported; sketch dimensions are imported as view dependent (if a sketch dimension is view dependent to a view that is not imported, then it is imported view dependent to the view of the sketch to which the dimension belongs).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Sketch views are not checked for duplication (e.g., sketch views with the same name or same orientation as those in the work part are still retrieved).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Sketch views with the same name as views in the work part are imported with &quot;_#&quot; appended to their name, where # is a number (e.g., VIEW1 becomes VIEW1_1).</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division"> The following lists the functionality of Import Views based on the setting of the toggle and whether or not a drawing is displayed. </p>
      <div class="title_division"> Import Views ON</div>
      <p class="para_division"> This setting is useful for importing a set of standard views and layouts. Under this condition:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> All unique layouts are imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Layouts with the same name as layouts in the work part are imported with an &quot;_#&quot; appended to their name, where # is a number (e.g., LAY1 becomes LAY1_1).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> All unique views are imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> View dependent objects and view-dependent modifications dependent on unique views remain so after an import.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Views with the same name and orientation as views in the work parts (i.e., duplicate views) are not retrieved.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> View dependent objects and view-dependent modifications dependent on duplicate views become dependent on the identical views in the work part. </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division"> Import Views OFF, No Drawing Displayed</div>
      <p class="para_division"> This setting is useful for importing geometry only. Under this condition:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> No views or layouts are imported (except sketch views, which are imported).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> None of the view-dependent modifications in the part being imported are imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> All model and view-dependent geometry is imported as model</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division"> Import Views OFF, Drawing Displayed</div>
      <p class="para_division"> This setting is useful for importing drawing borders (generally, from the Drafting, Gateway, or Valisys applications). Under this condition:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> No views or layouts are imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> All model and view-dependent geometry in the part being imported becomes dependent on the drawing (the current work view).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> None of the view-dependent modifications in the part being imported are imported.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  When importing views, a problem may arise if the part you are merging has a view with the same name as a view in the destination part, and these views have different orientations. When this happens, the second view is imported, and there are two views with the same name. To solve this problem, (1) rename the first view (the original view), (2) rename the second view (the imported view), and then (3) rename the first view back to its original name.</p>
               </div>
            </td>
         </tr>
      </table>
      <p class="para_division"> If the environment variable, UGII_DRAFT_OBJECTS_IN_VIEW, is in effect, the Import Views option will not attempt to move drafting objects to a drawing as it imports a view.  </p>
