      <p class="para_topic">Choose Update Display from the Layout menu to perform any changes to the display required by rotation or scale changes. This option also performs the tasks of View&rarr;Refresh, such as the erasure of the temporary display and redrawing the entire screen.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  This option eliminates the need for most uses of the Layout&rarr;Regenerate option as well as the Regenerate Work View function available from the View Options dialog.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Rotation Changes</div>
      <p class="para_division">Performing this option after rotation changes redisplays the following:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Silhouette curves or faces.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Hidden edges of solid bodies.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Scale Changes</div>
      <p class="para_division">Performing this option after scale changes redisplays the following:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Curves and edges displayed by line segment approximations where the scale has increased such that the approximations are no longer smooth.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Curves and edges in a font other than Solid when software line fonts are in effect.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Sketcher and relative positioning dimensions.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Degree of freedom indicators.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Datum planes.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Planes.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Shaded solids when the scale has increased such that the facets are no longer smooth. (See the discussion under Preferences&rarr;Visualization&rarr;Shading for details. </p>
