If the check box is selected, or if the view rendering style is <b class="uiTerm">Static Wireframe</b>, only the perimeter of the datum plane is displayed.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">Display performance can be degraded if many translucent datum planes are displayed. Select this check box if performance is unsatisfactory while translucent datum planes are displayed. </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Disable Plane Translucency</b> is a session option, so it applies to views in all parts in the session. NX does not save the Disable Plane Translucency setting. For each session, it initializes the setting according to a customer default. 
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">Controls when NX performs minor display repairs, sometimes necessary when you remove thick width highlighting from geometry. You can specify whether NX should redraw views immediately, or when NX becomes idle.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">With <b class="uiTerm">In Idle Time</b> repair, debris can accumulate for short periods in the path of the mouse, but disappears when mouse activity slows enough to permit NX to become idle.
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">When you select <b class="uiTerm">Immediately</b> as your repair choice, the debris does not linger on the display. However, the redraw delay may make NX seem less responsive to mouse motion when NX displays a large assembly. 
                     </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Render Solids Using Stored Facets</b> significantly improves regeneration time for display of solid and sheet bodies while working in Shaded Views.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">Stored facets with face references must be available in the part. They are obtained from faceted bodies associated with the corresponding solids. </p>
               <p class="para_td">There can sometimes be minor trade-offs between speed and the quality of the resulting image. This is geometry dependent. If precision is a higher requirement than speed, you can do one of the following: </p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Incrementally improve the display where needed while the <b class="uiTerm">Render Solids Using Stored Facets</b> feature is in effect using <b class="uiTerm">Update Display</b>(under <b class="uiTerm">View</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm"> Layout</b>). This also generates more precise facets if indicated by the display settings.  
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Disable the feature by clearing the <b class="uiTerm">Render Solids Using Stored Facets</b> check box. By doing this, you will always get precise shaded displays.  
                     </p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Studio Views</b></p>

                     <p class="para_item"><a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('customizing_nx/prf_vpp_gen_dis_dyn_upshad.html');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Disable Dynamic Update Shadows</b></a> controls whether shadows for Fixed to Observer lights (<b class="uiTerm">View</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Visualization</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Advanced Lights</b>) are dynamically updated while rotating a Studio view when Advanced Studio Display is enabled (<b class="uiTerm">Preferences</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Visualization</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Visual</b>).
                     </p>
                     <p class="para_item">If this check box is not selected, shadows are continuously updated while rotating the view or performing other dynamic view manipulations. If this check box is selected, shadows are not updated continuously, but are updated upon pauses in viewing dynamics.  </p>
                     <p class="para_item">Dynamic updating of shadows for Fixed to Observer lights enhances visual realism while rotating but can degrade display performance for views with Studio rendering style when Advanced Studio Display is enabled. Select this check box if better performance is desired.  </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('customizing_nx/prf_vpp_gen_dis_adv_stud_sup.html');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Disable Advanced Studio Support</b></a> controls whether Advanced Studio Display can be enabled for Studio views on workstations that support this feature. 
                     </p>
                     <p class="para_item">If this check box is not selected, you can choose <b class="uiTerm">Studio</b> (<b class="uiTerm">Preferences</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Visualization</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Visual</b>). If this check box is selected, Studio display becomes unavailable, and Studio views would use Basic Studio Display. 
                     </p>
                     <p class="para_item">Advanced Studio Display provides realistic displays that better match photo-realistic images produced by the High Quality Image function, but this feature can degrade display performance. If performance is unsatisfactory, select the Disable Advanced Studio Support check box to prevent use of Advanced Studio Display.  </p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
