               <p class="para_td">Use the toggles to specify whether you want to create the CGM from the current display or from a drawing.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">Display:  represents the contents displayed in the current graphics window.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">Drawing Sheets:  represents the drawing sheets selected in the Drawing Sheet List. </p>

                           <p class="para_note_body">If you select multiple drawing sheets, when you click OK, the Save CGM Files dialog is displayed so you can specify a directory and file name prefix for per-sheet CGM files.  Otherwise the system displays a file selection box for you to specify a name for the single CGM file.</p>

               <p class="para_td">On the General Settings tab, use the Colors option menu to specify the colors that are recorded in CGM files.</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">As Displayed:  The colors used to display the geometry on screen are also applied to exported geometry in the CGM file.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Part Color:  The colors in the part color table are applied to geometry exported in the CGM file.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Custom Palette:  You can apply an alternate set of 216 colors to geometry exported in the CGM file. When you select Custom Palette from the menu, the Custom Colors dialog displays for you to edit your session custom colors.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Black on White:  Black is applied to all geometry exported in the CGM file.</p>
                  </li>

               <p class="para_td">Use the Widths option menu to specify the widths that are recorded in exported CGM files.  </p>

                     <p class="para_item">Standard Widths: The system records fixed line widths (for 3 width indices).</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Single Width: The system records a single line width for all width indices. You can choose one of the standard widths, one of the custom 3 widths, or a user-defined width. </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Custom 3 Widths: The system records custom line widths per width index (for 3 indices).</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Custom Palette: The system records custom line widths per color index (for 216 indices).</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('shared_func/export_cgm_deflt_fil.html');return(false);">CGM Defaults File</a>: The system records line widths according to settings specified in the CGM Defaults File (cgmdef.txt).

               <p class="para_td">When you select Single Width, Custom 3 Widths, or Custom Palette from the menu, the Custom Widths dialog displays for you to edit your session custom widths.   </p>

               <p class="para_td">Use the CGM Size options to specify the size of CGM geometry.  There are two options available: Scale and Dimension:</p>

                     <p class="para_item">Scale:  If you specify the size as a scale factor, then the system scales display or drawing sheet geometry by the specified factor before recording the geometry in the CGM.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Dimension:  If you specify the size as dimensions (in inches), then the system scales display or drawing sheet geometry to fit the dimensions before recording the geometry in the CGM.</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>

               <p class="para_td">Text Selection</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use the Text Selection option to specify the representation of text in the CGM.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">Text:  The system records text in the CGM as CGM text elements. The application of fonts to CGM text elements is influenced by the Fonts option.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Polyline:  The system records text in the CGM as CGM polyline elements, each of which is a collection of line segments.</p>
                  </li>

               <p class="para_td">Use the VDC Coordinates option to specify the coordinates used in the CGM. There are two choices: Integer and Real. </p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Integer:  The system records geometry in the CGM using 16-bit integer coordinates, scaling display or drawing sheet geometry to span a coordinate range of 0 to 32760.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Real:  The system records geometry in the CGM using 32-bit real coordinates, where each coordinate is expressed with 23-bit mantissa and 9-bit exponent.</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>

               <p class="para_td">Use the Fonts option to specify the text fonts recorded in the CGM for the various NX text fonts. This option is significant only when the Text Selection option is set to Text.</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">1 CALS:  The system maps all NX fonts to CALS font Hershey Simplex Roman.</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">4 CALS:  The system maps NX fonts 1 through 4 to CALS fonts as follows.</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
               <p class="para_td">1: Hershey Simplex Roman</p>
               <p class="para_td">2: Hershey Cartographic Roman</p>
               <p class="para_td">3: Hershey Simplex Script</p>
               <p class="para_td">4: Hershey Complex Italic</p>
               <p class="para_td">The system maps all other NX fonts to CALS font Hershey Simplex Roman.</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">NX Fonts: The system records the names of NX fonts in the CGM.</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The created CGM file contains Circular Arc elements for those arcs that lie in a plane parallel to that of the view.  Also, the arc's bounding box is completely within the visible portion of the view.  Other arcs are converted to polylines before being written to the CGM file.</p>
