      <hr noshade="true"><a name="ndxgenid_roadmap402"></a><p class="para_topic">Use <b class="uiTerm">Copy</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Paste</b> or <b class="uiTerm">File</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Import</b> to import the contents of one .prt file into another. Use this for example, to import Boolean cutter objects into a file or as a method to reuse features.

      <p class="para_topic">This method can also be used to store commonly used sketches in separate .prt files. These sketches can be imported, and the sketch aligned to create features. This method is similar to using a section catalog in I-deas.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Other methods to reuse geometry between .prt files include <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('roadmap/07qt_assemblies_28.html');return(false);">WAVE Geometry Linker</a> and <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('roadmap/07qt_assemblies_29.html');return(false);">Promote</a>. These functions require an assembly to create the association.
