This group of options allows you to set certain parameters for the way macros behave during the current session.

Pause Indefinite & Pause Duration

Information recorded with a macro user pause statement is controlled with the Pause Indefinite toggle and the Pause Duration value. To record a pause statement in a macro that allows a pause for an undefined time during playback, select Pause Indefinite before recording the pause statement.

If you want a macro pause to last only for a certain number of seconds, and then automatically resume playback, turn OFF the Pause Indefinite toggle, and enter the number of seconds you want the pause to last in the Pause Duration field. The system default is 60 seconds.

Again, the Pause Indefinite toggle and the Pause Duration value must be set the way you want them before recording your macros.

Display Dialogs in Playback

This option controls the display of dialogs during the execution of macros. With the toggle OFF, dialogs are not displayed, increasing the speed of macro playback. With the toggle ON, dialogs are displayed during macro playback. The default is OFF.

You can set the default for the Display Dialogs in Playback option using the Customer Default, UG_showPlaybackDialogs (ON makes dialogs visible during playback; OFF makes them invisible).

Record All Transforms

This option allows you to record all or just the last setting of the Spaceball, Magellan, and dials during Macro recording. These devices automatically record when you manipulate them. At Macro playback time, interactions with the devices are automatically played back.

Turn the Record All Transforms toggle ON to record all transformation changes caused by these devices to playback, duplicating the exact graphics image changes caused by the devices. Because this format records and plays back all immediate transforms, more data lines are written, causing the macro/syslog files to be large.

Turn the Record All Transforms toggle OFF to record and play back only the last transformation that occurs as you stop manipulating the devices. This causes a snap effect at play back, snapping to the "image" at the point you stopped manipulating the device. Because this format records and plays back only the last transforms, fewer data lines are written, causing the macro/syslog files to be shorter. This is the default format.

The Record All Transforms option is OFF by default. Set the following customer default, to change the initial setting of the option for all sessions.
