      <p class="para_topic">The NX Gateway Preferences options for interoperability let you configure how to import data from other applications. These options are especially useful when you are creating or updating parts that originally came from I-DEAS or Solid Edge.</p>

               <p class="para_td">These options let you configure the fidelity checking operations during the import of I-DEAS geometry.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Perform Fidelity Check on Import</p>
               <p class="para_td">Select this option to perform a fidelity check on all of the geometry being imported. A fidelity check report is generated. </p>
               <p class="para_td">Retain Fidelity Checking Information</p>
               <p class="para_td">I-DEAS geometry that is imported may have information required for performing geometric fidelity checks. If you select this option, fidelity checking information is retained on the geometry.  </p>

               <p class="para_td">Selecting the Heal Geometry on Import option makes the Set Healing Options button available. Clicking this button opens the Healing Options dialog. This dialog lets you specify the geometry healing options to be used while performing a healing operation during import.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Select this option to remove any tangent discontinuities (sometimes referred to as &quot;C1&quot; or &quot;G1&quot;). Tangent discontinuities are not allowed on curves or surfaces. To remove the discontinuities the system splits the surface or removes the tangent discontinuity of the edges. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Select this option to specify a larger tolerance to be used while performing repairs in the geometry. When this option is selected, use the adjacent field to enter the allowable tolerance.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Load Product Manufacturing Information</p>
               <p class="para_td"> Controls the loading of Product Manufacturing Information (PMI) such as 3D Annotations, CAM Fastner information, GD&amp;T symbols, etc. from an I-Deas item. Default: On.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Load construction geometry</p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td"> Controls the loading of construction geometry entities such as lines, splines, points, coordinate systems, arcs, etc. from an I-Deas item. Default: On.</p>
               <p class="para_td"> Note: In some cases, the PMI entities are dependent on construction geometry entities being imported. Hence, if you turn off the Load construction geometry option, the system automatically turns off PMI import.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>

               <p class="para_td">Ignore update of identical versions</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#F4F4F4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td"> Controls the loading of I-Deas assemblies into NX. When you load an I-Deas assembly into NX, it creates part files for the components defined in the assembly structure. If NX can locate a part file for a component already existing on the file system, it loads that part and updates it with the latest information. If you turn this option on, NX determines if the version of the part on the file sytem is identical to the version information available for the component being loaded. If the versions are identical, the part on the file system is partially loaded and it is not updated. Default: Off.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Solid Edge tab</p>
               <p class="para_td">Only Import Design Parts</p>
               <p class="para_td">Lets you import only the design part of a Solid Edge part during import. If you do not select this option, then all representations of the Solid Edge data are retrieved. </p>
