      <div class="title_division">When a Multiple View Layout is Displayed</div>
      <p class="para_division">Choosing View&rarr;Operation&rarr;Expand in a multiple view layout causes the current work view to expand and cover the entire graphics window. Choosing the option a second time returns the display to its original state. Expand is disabled in a single view layout.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Expand is also available from the View Popup Menu. When you select Expand from the pop-up, the view under the cursor position is expanded and made the work view.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Expand preserves the aspect ratio of the view and does not change the view parameters to fill the whole graphics window. Therefore, using Expand with two and six-view layouts may leaves some empty space on the sides of the graphics window.</p>

      <div class="title_division">When a Drawing is Displayed</div>
      <p class="para_division">In the Drafting application you can use Expand to create and edit objects in a specific view (view dependently). The following steps illustrate how this is accomplished:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">While a drawing is displayed in Drafting select View&rarr;Operation&rarr;Expand. A dialog containing a list of drawing member views displays.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the view you want to expand from the list. You can also select the view by selecting directly from the drawing using the graphics cursor. The figure below shows an example of a drawing prior to selecting a view to expand. The next figure shows what the display could look like after a view is selected.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Perform the desired modifications to the view. Note that any geometry you create in the member view only appears in that view. Any edits you make to the model, however, appear in all views on the drawing.</p>
