Turning the Combs option on displays a comb for each selected object. Turning the Combs option off turns the combs off.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">Displaying combs for selected curves or splines can make it easier to detect discontinuities in curvature, abrupt changes and inflection points, all of which are undesirable in most cases. Once a comb is displayed, you can edit the curve until the comb displays the desired result.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Use the Modeling Preferences Curve Curvature Display option to specify whether combs display curvature or radius of curvature data. Changing from one comb type to the other automatically updates all instances of combs in the displayed part.</p>
