      <p class="para_topic">Keyboard accelerators, also known keyboard shortcuts, save time, and customizing your own makes it easier to remember them.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To assign your own keyboard accelerators, click the <b class="uiTerm">Keyboard</b> button on the <b class="uiTerm">Customize</b> dialog. The <b class="uiTerm">Customize Keyboard</b> dialog appears. It is divided into two main sections: 
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Specify a command</b> &ndash; contains the <b class="uiTerm">Categories</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Commands</b> list boxes. The <b class="uiTerm">Categories</b> list box shows menu bar items. Navigate to the menu item you want to customize. The <b class="uiTerm">Commands</b> list box shows both the command name and ID corresponding to the selected item in the <b class="uiTerm">Categories</b> list. 
            </p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Specify keyboard sequence</b> &ndash; lets you customize your accelerator. See the table below for options.
            </p>
         </li>

                  <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Current Keys</b></p>

                  <p class="para_td">This lists any accelerator keys assigned to the command  selected in the <b class="uiTerm">Command</b> list. It is empty if no accelerator key has been assigned. Select the check box on the left of the entry to have the accelerator apply only in the current application. By default, the check box is unselected, indicating that the accelerator will apply in all applications.

                  <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Press New Shortcut Key</b></p>

                  <p class="para_td">This field shows the accelerator keys when focus is in this field and you enter valid accelerators. You can use Backspace to delete inserted accelerators. </p>

                  <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Currently Assigned to</b></p>

                  <p class="para_td">NX shows this field only when you enter an accelerator that is currently being used. You can still choose to assign the accelerator to the command; however, if you do, the system will remove the previous assignment. </p>

                  <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Assign</b></p>

                  <p class="para_td">NX shows this button when you enter a new accelerator. Use this button to assign the accelerator to the selected command. Once you assign the accelerator, it appears in the <b class="uiTerm">Current Keys</b> list. 
                  </p>

                  <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Remove</b></p>

                  <p class="para_td">Use this button when you want to remove an accelerator. Select the accelerator from the <b class="uiTerm">Current Keys</b> list, and press the <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b> button.

                  <p class="para_td">NX activates this button only when there are changes in the user.mtx file associated with keyboard customization. When you press the <b class="uiTerm">Reset</b> button, NX displays a message warning you that this will remove all accelerator customization from the user.mtx file for the current application. 
                  </p>
