      </table><br><p class="para_topic">A .PAX file is a text file that contains tagged definitions for each part template. When you add a new template, you must define it in the Palette (.PAX) file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The following shows a single entry of a part template. The items that you need to edit are color coded in red:</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Before you can edit the PAX file you must first <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('intro_to_nx/uiu_ab_pal_prt_m_find_p.html');return(false);">find its location</a>.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To add a template, copy the code section shown above and add it to the PAX file. Then edit the section you just added as follows:</p>

            <p class="para_item">Edit the PaletteEntry id so that the text (&quot;d1&quot;) is unique in the file. No other entry should use the same id. In this example there was only one entry, so you could use &quot;d2&quot;.</p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit the Presentation name so that it describes what the template does. This name appears in the palette window as the template's name.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit the Preview Image location to reflect the path of the template's image file (cgm or bmp).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Verify that the text in quotes for ObjectData class reads &quot;ModelTemplate&quot;.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit the text between the &lt;Filename&gt; tags so that it reflects your template's actual path.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Save the .PAX file.</p>
         </li>
