      <p class="para_topic"> Use this option to create a point at the intersection of two curves or at the intersection of a single curve and a surface or a plane. If the curves intersect more than once, the system creates the point nearest to where you selected the second curve, as shown below.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> System Projects Intersection Point</div>
      <p class="para_division"> When you select two curves that are not coplanar with the XC-YC plane, the system projects where the intersection would occur and creates the point on the first curve that you select. The system calculates an apparent intersection by projecting the curve parallel to the ZC axis. The system always performs a projection along the ZC-axis. The following diagram illustrates how the system finds the intersection point using this method.</p>

      <p class="para_division"> You can create a point at the intersection of any two non-parallel curves. You can create an implied intersection even if the objects do not actually touch. The system always calculates the intersection point along the ZC Axis unless there is a physical intersection.</p>

      <div class="title_division">About Intersection Points</div>
      <p class="para_division"> NX allows you to specify an intersection point on curves that don't physically intersect. You might want this functionality when the intersection lies off the end of the curves or when the curves don't lie in the same plane. NX allows this type of intersection point, however, the resulting point is not associative.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> The system projects the curves onto a plane that is perpendicular to the WCS and intersects them there. The system projects the resulting intersection point back onto the first selected curve or its extension. The system does not attempt to distinguish between cases where the curves intersect and when they don't. All the intersection points will be non-associative.</p>
