      <p class="para_topic">To modify characteristics of a polar grid:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select Preferences&rarr;Workplane. This opens the Work Plane Preferences dialog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the Polar grid type. A rectangular grid is horizontal and vertical lines; a polar grid is lines eminating from an origin with circles at increasing distances from the origin.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Optionally select a new grid color using the Grid Color box. This displays the small Color Selection box. To display more colors, click on More. Select a color and click OK.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To enable snapping (moves an indicated screen position point to the nearest grid point), select the Snap to Grid icon.  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/prf_grid_snap_to_lc.gif" border="0"></p>

            <p class="para_item">To display the grid, select the Show Grid icon. <img align="bottom" src="graphics/prf_grid_lc.gif" border="0"></p>

            <p class="para_item">To show or hide the emphasis lines, click on the Show/Hide Emphasis Line icon. <img align="bottom" src="graphics/prf_grid_emphasis_line_lc.gif" border="0"></p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To adjust the Radial Spacing grid unit, modify the Grid Unit value under Radial Spacing. This value is the number of inches or millimeters between successive concentric circles of grid points that are centered at the WCS origin.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To draw a grid line every n grid units, modify the value in the Grid Line Every field. For example, 4 means a circle is drawn through every fourth circle of grid points.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To draw an emphasis line every n grid lines, modify the value in the Emphasis Every field. Emphasis lines are solid lines while grid lines are a series of dots.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To adjust the Angular Spacing grid unit, modify the Grid Unit value under Angular Spacing. This is the number of degrees between successive rays of grid points that emanate from the WCS origin.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To draw a grid line every n grid units, modify the value in the Grid Line Every field. For example, 5 means a line is drawn through every fifth ray of grid points.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To draw an emphasis line every n grid lines, modify the value in the Emphasis Every field.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click OK or Apply.</p>
         </li>
