      <p class="para_topic">Filter attributes vary depending on which object type you select.  A listbox displays the following candidate object types:</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Curve * Sketch Edge * Face * Solid Body Sheet Body Faceted Body Component Datums * Point CSYS Tolerance Feature Product Definition Dimension * Note Label Symbol * Label on Parent Tabular Note Boundary * Group Plane Compound Face Load Boundary Condition Pattern Pattern Points Routing Objects Analysis</p>
      <div class="title_division">Additional Attributes</div>
      <p class="para_division">To add additional attributes, follow these steps:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select an object type from the Select by Type dialog (indicated by an asterisk (*) in the above list).  </p>
            <p class="para_item">The system enables the Detail Filtering button. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Press the Detail Filtering button.</p>
            <p class="para_item">The Detailed Filtering dialog appears.  It varies depending on the current filter</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Add additional attributes for that type to your filter. The following table shows some of the additional detail that you can specify:</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Using the Type Dialog</div>
      <p class="para_division">To select a type: </p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click on a type.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click OK.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">You can select objects directly from the graphics window while the dialog is displayed. The Back button resets the Type filter to its previous state before you opened the dialog.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  If a pattern object's origin marker is turned off, the pattern will not be selectable through the origin marker, unless name display is turned off and the pattern does not contain pattern points.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  You can set the UG_groupInClassSelectionMenus customer default so that the Group type is selected or unselected on the Type menu for all class selection operations. The default is unselected. For details, see the Customer Defaults file.</p>
