      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Type</b> option selects the type of foreground to apply. The options available are the following:

               <p class="para_td">This option provides exponential attenuation of color as the distance is modified. You can use this option to simulate a diffuse atmosphere. Fog has two parameters: Distance, representing the distance at which Fog begins to take effect; and Fog Color, which becomes less dominant as the Distance parameter is raised.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Provides a linear attenuation of color within a specified range. It interpolates between a specified Target Color within a range of distances, from near to far. The parameters are: Near Distance, representing the minimum distance for the Depth Cue effect; Far Distance, which is the maximum distance for the Depth Cue effect; and Target Color, which represents the target color for the fade.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Simulates a layer of fog that attenuates with increasing altitude. The parameters are Color, which allows you to pick a color for the fog; Point, which specifies the reference point for the normal vector; Normal, which specifies the vector that controls the direction of the attenuation of the fog; Distance, which specifies the distance in World Coordinates at which fog completely obscures any objects in the scene, and Fog Height, which determines the rate of decrease for the fog effects.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Provides the effect of snowflakes falling in front of the viewing camera. The effect is produced by placing random &quot;flakes&quot; on two planes at different scales in front of the camera. The parameters are Color, which specifies a color for the snow; Near Scale and Far Scale, which specify the relative size of the flakes on the two planes; Flake Size, which specifies the average size of a flake; Density, which controls the density of the snowfall; and Noise Level, which determines the irregularity of the snowflakes.</p>

Parameters are Color, which selects a color to be made transparent within the image; X and Y Position, which specifies in pixels measured from the upper left corner of the graphics window the position in the foreground of the image; and Tiff Image, which allows you to select the image to be displayed.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Creates an atmospheric scattering of light effect, with attenuation. The parameters are Samples, which determines the sample rate for light scattering; Density, which controls the density of the light; Max Distance, which controls the distance to which light scattering is calculated; Noise Scale, which specifies the scale of the irregularity in the light scattering; Noise Level, which determines the amount of random variation in the light scattering; and Attenuation, which specifies how quickly the light attenuates with the distance from the source.</p>
