      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Use the Plot Layout dialog to arrange the current plot (either the display or the selected drawing sheets) in the plot layout.  You can specify general parameters for adding plots (units, width, spacing), as well as parameters to arrange the current plot layout (location, rotation, scale).  A drawing area illustrates the rectangular bounds of plots in the layout.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">Note that you can use the Plot Layout dialog to set parameters only for the plot about to be added to the layout.  You cannot modify parameters for plots you previously added to the plot layout.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use the Plot Spacing entry field to specify the default spacing between adjacent plots in the plot layout.</p>

               <p class="para_td">The Diagram drawing area illustrates the rectangular bounds of plots in the plot layout.  The diagram shows the bounds of previously added plots in one color, and shows the bounds of the new plot about to be added to the plot layout in a second color.  Each plot is indicated by a rectangle and a number, where the number identifies the plot in the Plots in Layout List.  The bounds of the existing plot that is selected in the Plots in Layout List are displayed with distinctive line attributes (i.e., alternate line width or line font) to help you find the selected plot on the diagram.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The vertical dimension of the drawing area represents the width of the plot layout (the width of the paper), and the horizontal dimension represents the length.  Drawing area geometry is scaled as necessary to ensure that the bounds of all plots are visible in the drawing area.  A horizontal line is displayed to indicate the width value (specified by the Width entry field), so you can see whether/how plots extend beyond the width.  </p>

               <p class="para_td">The Plots in Layout List displays information about plots you previously added to the plot layout in order to help you arrange a new plot in the layout.  </p>

               <p class="para_td">Use Add Plot to specify the location, rotation, and scale of a plot that you are about to add to the plot layout.  A label for the Add Plot row-column identifies the new plot by its job name.  In placing the plot on the plot layout, the system first rotates and scales the plot, and then places the lower-left corner of the rotated and scaled plot at the specified location. </p>
