Generally, Fit ignores pattern origin markers if they are both invisible and if the Name Display preference is turned ON, or if the pattern master part contains pattern points (i.e., the pattern has some additional control points). This behavior ensures that the pattern is always selectable, but also makes Fit results more usable when the pattern origin marker is very far away from the corresponding pattern geometry.
