The actual method used is based on the objects and options you select.

To specify all three points, use the Point Constructor. The X-axis is the vector from the first to the second point; the Y-axis is the vector from the first to the third point; the origin is the first point.

The X-axis is the vector from the Z-axis vector to the point; the Y-axis is computed from the X and Z axis; the origin is the intersection of the three vectors.

When you select a linear curve, the X-axis is a perpendicular vector from the curve to the point; the Y-axis is the Z cross X; the Z-axis is the tangent vector at the point of perpendicularity; the origin is the point on the curve where the point is perpendicular to it. When you select a non-linear curve, the X-axis points in an arbitrary orientation and not towards the selected point.

X-axis is the plane normal direction; the Y-axis is the direction of the projection of the vector onto the plane; the origin is the intersection of the plane and the vector.

The X-axis is normal of the first Datum Plane/Planar face; the Y-axis is normal of the second Datum Plane/Planar face; the origin is the intersection of the three planes/faces.

                        <p class="para_item"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/gateway/csys_constructor/absolute.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Absolute CSYS</b> &mdash; Specifies the model space coordinate system as the coordinate system. The X and Y axes are the X and Y axes of the Absolute CSYS; the origin is the origin of the Absolute CSYS.

                        <p class="para_item"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/gateway/csys_constructor/csys_of_current_view.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">CSYS of Current View</b> &mdash; Sets the current viewing coordinate system as the coordinate system. The X-axis is parallel to the bottom of the view; the Y-axis is parallel to side of the view; the origin is the origin of the view (in the middle of the graphics window). If you select by name, the CSYS can be invisible or on a non-selectable layer.

The X and Y axes are the existing CSYS X and Y axes; the origin is the specified point.
