      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Toolbar Placement is a mechanism that positions toolbars in a precise order, across multiple rows. The default toolbar layout mechanism positions toolbars in the following ways: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">horizontally or vertically </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">in multiple columns/rows </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">in a specific order within a row/column </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">It also hides and shows specific toolbars and hides and shows individual items within each toolbar.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To accomplish this precise positioning, NX employs a toolbar positioning mechanism in the form of a Registry Workspace (.rws) file per application or user task.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If a Registry Workspace (.rws) file is present, it replaces any positioning or visibility settings specified in the toolbar files or in the code. This allows UGS to ship a full default toolbar configuration to NX users.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Registry Workspace (.rws) File</div>
      <p class="para_division">For each application, a Registry Workspace (.rws) file is available. This applies for all applications, including the Gateway application and No Part state.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Extension</div>
      <p class="para_division">A Registry Workspace file uses the .rws (Registry Workspace) extension.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Filenaming Convention</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Registry Workspace (.rws) files are named using the same naming convention as the menubar (.men) files. For example: ug_sketcher.rws ug_cam.rws</p>

      <p class="para_division">NX automatically copies the Registry Workspace (.rws) files to UGII_DEFAULT_MENU_DIR, along with the .men and .tbr files.</p>
