A file selection dialog is an ideal location for a user entry point. During macro playback, it allows an NX user to select a different part, a user-defined feature, color palette etc. However, file selection dialogs are application modal. This means that when a file selection dialog is present, it is the only active window in NX. Therefore, to indicate user entry on a file selection dialog, IT must take place before recording. To do this, while recording, before you open a file selection dialog, select the Macro→User Entry on File Selection Dialogs check box. As long as you set this check box, all subsequent file selection dialogs will trigger a user entry.

User Entry Instructions are not available with this feature. During playback, NX indicates that user entry is enabled by displaying the user entry icon on the Status line.
