The system loads older part files as well as older color tables containing 15 defined colors into the first 15 slots of the color table. The system populates the remaining slots in the color table with the colors in the color table starting at the 16th position of the default color table. Generally, older part files will be unaffected by the additional colors because they previously used only the first 15 slots of color and the system places these colors at the same location in the color table. The system also loads the background color.

Using Macros with Preferences->Visualization

The Preferences→Visualization dialog is a powerful tool for specifying various preferences related to the way part files display. It was designed to adapt and display differently according to which part is open, which session is running, and which rendering style is used, among other factors. . When you record a macro using a complex and adaptable dialog, you run the risk of a change in the meaning of a user action. This is because, as subsequent calls to the dialog cause it to adapt to outside settings, changes to user actions in a macro are possible. Therefore, we recommend that you use caution when creating macros with this dialog. It may yield unexpected results.
