      </table><br><p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Repair Incidental Display Damage</b> is a session attribute, so it applies to views in all parts in the session. The attribute setting is determined as follows: 
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you previously used the <b class="uiTerm">Visualization Performance Preferences</b> dialog box to modify the attribute, then that setting is used. Note that the setting is saved, for each user, from session to session. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you have never modified the attribute, then the setting is initialized to the value specified by the UGII_REPAIR_DISPLAY_IMMEDIATELY environment variable, if it is set. The variable can be set to TRUE or FALSE.   </p>

            <p class="para_item">If the environment variable is unset, then on UNIX workstations only, the setting is initialized to the value specified by the ugraf***.repairDisplayImmediately resource in the ugraf*** resource file, if it is set. The resource can be set to TRUE or FALSE.   Example:   </p><pre class="indent">*ugraf***.repairDisplayImmediately: TRUE
