      <p class="para_topic"> Allows you to turn on and off and change the parameters of the names of objects, as well as enabling the names and borders of the views.</p>

               <p class="para_td"> Show Model View Names or Borders allows you to turn on and off the display of model view names and borders. This option is for the Modeling application only. It does not affect the Drafting application and the visibility of the Model View Names on the drawing.</p>

      <div class="title_division"> Object Name Display</div>
      <p class="para_division"> The Object Name Display controls whether names are displayed for objects, attributes, patterns, and groups, and if displayed, it determines the view in which they appear. Object Name Display can have the following settings:</p>
      <p class="para_division"> Off turns OFF the name display.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> View of Definition places each name in the work view current at the time of name creation.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> Work View places all names in the current work view, even if the existing names had been defined in different views.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  Component names in an assembly are always displayed in the work view.</p>

      <p class="para_division"> The Object Name Display setting is saved in the part file. When a new part is created, the setting is initialized to OFF.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Character Size</div>
      <p class="para_division"> Character Size allows you to define the size of text characters used to display object names. The following points apply:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> The specified character size is the displayed, physical height of the characters as measured on the screen.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> If the part uses English units, the size is in inches.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> If the part uses metric units, the size is in millimeters.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division"> The Character Size setting is saved in the part file. When a new part is created, the setting is initialized to 0.125 inches if the part uses English units or 3.175 millimeters if the part uses metric units.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Show Model View Names/Borders</div>
      <p class="para_division"> When the Show Model View Names toggle is turned on, the name of the model views display in the display and when Show Model View Borders is turned on, the borders of model views display.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> The Show Model View Names and Show Model View Borders settings are saved in the part file. When a new part is created, the settings are initialized to ON.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  Show Model View Names has no effect on drawings or drawing member views. The name of a drawing is always displayed. The name of drawing member view is not displayed, except when the member view is expanded.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  Show Model View Borders has no effect on drawing borders nor on the borders of drawing member views. To change the display of borders of drawing member views, use the Display Borders toggle of the View page of the Drafting Preferences dialog.  </p>
